Dentures Denver NC

The idea of false teeth often causes Denver, NC, area patients to avoid speaking to their dentist about tooth replacement. Many patients think of full dentures as the false teeth their grandparents struggled with. Fortunately, there have been advances in restorative dentistry, and now, patients have choices that are more conservative and more aesthetic. Drs. Nathen Ellis and Spencer Stewart of Denver Dental Arts encourage patients to take the time to learn about the advantages of replacing teeth with partial or full dentures.

Are dentures affordable?

Most patients worry that the development of beautiful false teeth might result in a large dental bill. The Denver Dental Arts team encourages patients to find out how these aesthetic restorations can be affordably fabricated for them. In fact, patients with dental insurance will find the out-of-pocket cost of dentures reduced dramatically after applying for their benefits.

Which type of denture do I need?

There are essentially three types of dentures available at Denver Dental Arts, including:

  • Partial dentures – partial dentures are metal appliances that are made to snap over the existing teeth for support to replace one or more teeth missing in the dental arch. These are easy to remove and care for and can be adjusted as needed over time.
  • Full dentures – full dentures are false teeth and gums for the upper and/or lower dental arch. They replace all the teeth. Patients keep these dentures in place with natural suction or the use of denture adhesives.
  • Implant-retained dentures – patients who want the best in function and appearance will want to ask our team about implant-retained dentures. These snap on to several dental implants placed in the jawbone for optimum support and strength. They are more conservative while offering the opportunity to avoid dealing with messy denture adhesives to keep appliances in place.
