Your confident smile can be ruined by minor tooth flaws that stand out. Teeth that are chipped, discolored, misshapen, or uneven automatically draw attention, making your smile look less appealing. Porcelain veneers offer a quick and easy way to correct these problems and boost your smile’s appearance. A visit to Drs. Nathen Ellis and Spencer Stewart from Denver Dental Arts in Denver, NC can determine if you’re a good candidate for this treatment.
Here are seven ways dental veneers can revitalize your grin:
Although teeth whitening is often the best way to deal with stained and discolored teeth, it doesn’t work for everyone. Some types of stains can’t be bleached. You can, however, brighten those teeth with veneers. Porcelain veneers are highly customizable. Dr. Ellis and Stewart will create veneers that look just like your natural teeth to restore your smile’s vibrant appearance.
Tooth enamel is quite strong but not indestructible. Teeth can chip or crack from eating hard foods or through accidental injuries, or become worn from daily use. Covering these teeth with veneers makes those flaws disappear to give your smile a smooth, unblemished appearance.

Before & After Treatment
Minor gaps between your teeth can be closed with veneers, saving you the cost of orthodontic treatment. Aesthetically, gaps aren’t very pleasing. They can also be a breeding ground for plaque and bacteria. We’ll create veneers that are slightly bigger than your teeth to cover the gap naturally, giving the impression it was never there.
Whereas major alignment problems require orthodontics, minor misalignment issues can often be corrected with veneers, especially if only one or two teeth are involved. Veneers won’t actually shift misaligned teeth into a straighter position, as orthodontics does. They simply conceal the problem, giving the impression that your teeth are straight and even and improving your smile’s symmetry.
Your teeth don’t have to be all exactly alike for an attractive smile, but it helps if they’re similar in size and shape. Teeth that differ dramatically in size or shape can be reshaped with veneers to give them a more uniform appearance. Veneers help odd-looking teeth blend in with the rest of your smile for a more harmonious look.
Do you show more gum than teeth when you smile? That’s known as a gummy smile, and we can resolve this cosmetic issue with veneers. We’ll customize veneers to make visible teeth appear longer, bringing your smile into proper symmetry and balance.
Veneers not only revitalize your smile, but they also strengthen your teeth. When placed over chipped, cracked, and worn front teeth, porcelain veneers reinforce their structure, making them less likely to chip or crack in the future.
