Tooth loss, in any form, will have an impact on your oral health. It can also affect how you look and eat. Whether you’ve lost one tooth or many, replacing them should be a priority. At Denver Dental Arts in Denver, North Carolina, Dr. Nathen Ellis offers a lasting solution to tooth loss problems with dental implants. Implants can restore both the appearance and functionality of your smile while maintaining your oral health as well. Therefore, it is essential to work with an experienced dentist specializing in implants to achieve the best results from your treatment.
Tooth loss isn’t something you can ignore or simply live with. Losing teeth will affect your everyday living, from what you can eat to socializing with friends and family. Implants can restore normalcy to your life and allow you to live the lifestyle you desire by replacing lost teeth. With implants, your smile can be made whole and healthy again by receiving new teeth and tooth roots. Implant posts are inserted into your jaw surgically to fuse with your bone system and replace your lost tooth roots. When the fusing process is complete, our dental expert will attach an abutment to support your restoration and then your restoration to complete your procedure.
The implant process offers several options to restore the health and beauty of your smile, including:
Individual dental crowns can be used as restorations to replace one or more missing teeth with single implants. Each tooth gets its own implant and crown. We’ll place the implant in the gap left by your missing tooth and wait 3 to 6 months for it to integrate with your bone system. Then we’ll attach an abutment and crown to complete your procedure. Porcelain crowns make great implant restorations due to their durability for chewing and beautiful esthetics that mimic the color and sheen of natural teeth.
If you’ve lost two to four teeth in a row, your best option for restoring your smile is an implant bridge. An implant will be posted on either side of the bridge to support your replacement teeth. Supported by implant ‘roots,’ the bridge will mimic the stability of natural teeth for biting and chewing, allowing you to fully enjoy your meals. We’ll also give your bridge a natural appearance that blends seamlessly with your smile.
Dr. Ellis, along with his team offers all-on-4 or all-on-6 implant treatment to address the loss of an entire arch or all teeth. This allows the provision of implant-supported dentures. We’ll place four or six implants in key locations in your jaw to anchor your custom-fitted dentures in place. Custom-made for comfort, function, and beauty, your new teeth will create a stunning smile that you will adore!
