Cosmetic dentistry is the branch of dentistry whose main focus is on your smile’s appearance. It offers an array of treatment options to improve the appearance and feel of your teeth and gums.
A cosmetic dentist is trained in the field of cosmetic dentistry and will help you get the most from your cosmetic treatments. You can have confidence that your procedures will be performed safely and properly to meet your dental needs. Working with experienced cosmetic dentists like Drs. That depends on your particular smile needs. Each smile we work on is unique, with different needs. The procedure/procedures you choose to improve your smile will also impact the length of your treatment. Some procedures can be completed fairly quickly, such as bonding and teeth whitening, which are often performed during a single dental visit. Crowns and veneers generally take a few weeks, as they’re custom-made in a lab. Implant treatment can take months to complete due to its long recovery period. Orthodontics can take from six months to two years, depending on the complexity of your treatment.
Cosmetic dental treatments are designed to produce long-lasting results so you can enjoy your beautiful, new smile for the long term. If you take good care of your teeth after your treatment, those results will last longer. Teeth whitening, for example, can last 1 to 2 years with good oral care and touch-ups from your dentist. Crowns and porcelain veneers can last up to 15 years. Implants can last for life.
